LAW DAY COMMITTEE ACCEPTING ESSAYS FROM 8th GRADE STUDENTS

Law Day provides an opportunity for all Americans to celebrate the freedoms that we enjoy, as guaranteed to us by the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights and the United States Constitution.  The Worcester County Bar Association is proud to sponsor an essay contest which provides our young citizens the opportunity to express what these freedoms and liberties mean to them.  The contest is for students currently in the 8th grade in a Worcester County school.  This year's theme is: "In a case where a student is accused of doing something that might be criminal, should school administration be required to alert the student's parents of the right to a lawyer before questioning the student about the wrongful behavior."

The deadline to submit an essay is February 29, 2016.  Please contact the WCBA office if you would like the guidelines to participate or for additional information at 508-752-1311.
